Overview:

This vehicle fits 2 500 Varikennels on a platform in the truck bed. A bicycle or at least 1 400 Varikennel will fit in front of the platform. The bed will also accomodate foldable wire crates and the extended cab will hold 1-2 additional dogs.

Add-ons:

This truck has an ARE MX series cap. The cap rises up several inches from the roof of the cab and enables the 500 Varikennel's to fit from a height standpoint.

Pros:

Dogs in bed of truck are not near impact zone for rear impact. Metal seat hinges in rear of extended cab allow easy securing of a dog via a leash attached to a harness. Good storage area left in the bed of the truck even with both crates and the platform. Truck can transport a full set of schutzhund blinds, with the tailgate up, and the upper window on the cap open. In a pinch, the truck can transport a full sized refrigerator without removing the platform.

Cons:

Gas mileage is NOT stellar. The recessed crates in the rear of the truck mean that you have to actually sit in the bed of the truck to easily access the crates.
